416th Bombardment Group (L)
United States Military Academy
In September of 1943, Eighteen graduates of the class of June-43 United States Military Academy (West Point)
were assigned as pilots to the 416th Bomb Group at Lake Charles, Louisiana.
This West Point class earned more combat awards than any other class in
West Point history and produced many great military leaders and war heros.
