Description:
One plane, with Capt H.M. Borman as pilot and Sgt R.J. Perujo as gunner, was forced down by battle damage, which caused loss of gas at A-54 [in Belgium]. The nose wheel broke landing when the plane hit some buckled steel planking on the runway.
