Lieut Fred Ervin Holzscheiter TOLEDO FLIER KILLED IN CRASH Second Lieut. Fred E. Holzscheiter, Toledo, and four other crewmen were killed yesterday when two light bombers from Lake Charles, La., Army Air field collided in flight about two miles west of Fenton, La. Mrs Holzscheiter, the former Donna Mary Hart, daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Hart, 850 Colfax, who was with the Lieutenant at Lake Charles, will return to Toledo tomorrow. Lieutenant Holzscheiter, the son of Mr and Mrs George Holzscheiter, Tremainsville Rd., enlisted in May 1942 while employed at the Surface Combustion Co. He was married six months ago at Waycross, Ga. He was a graduate of Whitmer High School. Surviving besides his wife and parents, are brothers, George, Justin and Russell. Extracted from Find A Grave.com |
