Description:
The ship flown by Capt Jackson was badly shot up and his gunner, S/Sgt Daniel was severly hit in the leg, severing an artery. After dropping his bombs, Captain Jackson raced his plane back to the base in an effort to get aid for his stricken gunner, but to no avail. S/Sgt Daniel died before they landed. In this raid, Lts Maltby, McGlohn and S/Sgts Addleman and Eutsler were slightly wounded.
