Great Western Branson Towers

The 2009 reunion of the 416th Bomb Group was held at the Great Western Branson Towers in Branson, Missouri. Members were welcomed on Wednesday evening with an informal reception at the hotel.  The popular hospitality room, with drinks and snacks, was open throughout the event and proved to be a very popular location for socializing. Members and family brought photo albums to share. A lunch cruise and show aboard the Branson Belle was enjoyed by all on Thursday. A group outing to the Veterans Memorial Museum on Friday morning also proved to be a popular event.  That afternoon, those who could carry a tune harmonized to World War II era songs played on the piano by Mickie Weinert in the hotel lobby.  At the business meeting on Saturday, attendees voted to return to Branson again in 2010.  A banquet was held on Saturday evening with an inspirational address by Lt Col. Mark Johnson, U.S. Army Special Forces, retired.
