416th Bombardment Group (L) 2007 Reunion Oshkosh, Wisconsin August 23-26, 2007

The 2007 reunion of the 416th Bomb Group was held at the Park Plaza Hotel in downtown Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Members were welcomed on Thursday evening with a reception dinner at the hotel. A hospitality room with drinks and snacks was open for the comfort and interaction of members and guests. Members and family brought photo albums to share. Optional tours of Glen Valley Farms and the Air Venture Museum were available on Friday, with a Sunset Dinner Cruise on Lake Winnecone on Friday evening. The business meeting on Saturday included a presentation featuring the newly developed 416th web site and a discussion of the group's intentions regarding future reunions. The Brewer family offered to host a 2008 reunion at Topsail Island, North Carolina and this gracious offer was accepted by vote of those present. A formal banquet was held on Saturday evening, at which Dr. Larry Smith was the featured speaker. Dr. Smith gave a PowerPoint presention outlining his forthcoming book about the 416th and the impacts of World War II. A farewell breakfast was held at the hotel on Sunday morning.
